What's In Your Wardrobe: FW 2016
New York Fashion Week has unfortunately ended, but now it’s time to discuss which staple Fall 2016 looks you need to add to your collection for this season.
Fall Pumpkin Spice is more than just your latte flavor. BAJA EAST showed NYFW how fierce a muted orange oversized sweater can get, and if you’re looking for copies, we did the dirty work for you. Some other fall must-haves include turtlenecks and layers, so we hit all three checkmarks with this Free People Pumpkin Spice Livvy Sweater.
There is a lot of new fabrics emerging as well, at the top we are seeing a lot of velvet, especially when it comes to booties. One of our favorite NYFW looks for the new trend is Jenny Packham's orange velvet booties. But, It’s nearly impossible to not discuss Yeezys Season 4 booties when on the subject as well. If you’re looking for a cheaper, and just as cute, alternative Steve Maddens velvet Carmel Fabric Edit booties are the perfect in between.
You can find them at the link below, along with an open toe alternative, Steve Maddens Mannzo Taupe, that is perfect for those short lived two weeks of fall before it gets too chilly to rock them.
Another new fabric trend that’s making a statement is fur accents. One of the best things about fall is the temperature drop throughout it, leaving us so many options during the season to change things up as it gets colder. We’ve seen looks range from jackets, to clutches and key chains. One of my favorite ways to liven up any bag or clutch is to throw a brightly colored faux fur keychain on it. KENDALL + KYLIE just released a new line of keychains, but if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative Francesca’s has them in about every color you could want, all for $10 and under.
Check out this foxy faux fur fall accessory at Francesca’s!
You can’t go into fall without investing in a trendy new fall coat. During NYFW, many brought out the steady popular shearling jackets, but this year’s switch up is that they come in so many more colors and shapes. One of the favorite and super wearable choices from NYFW is Altuzarra's Burgundy Antioch Coat. You can find it at The Line at the link below. This years shearling fall coats may be an investment, but definitely a good one. Plus, we don’t see these jackets losing their touch anytime soon.
